Dr. Clarissa Tibbs

Licensed Professional Counselor 

Dr. Clarissa Tibbs is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over ten years of experience within the field. She received a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Psychology with a concentration in Clinical Psychology from Walden University, a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Alabama A&M University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Her extensive clinical training has allowed her to work in a variety of clinical settings to include counseling with at-risk youth and young adults, individual and group therapy in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings, direct therapeutic work in psychiatric hospitals,  group therapy in an outpatient substance abuse clinic, assessment and crisis intervention services, and also administration of psychological evaluations to assess for intellectual, emotional, and behavioral functioning during her doctoral clinical internship experience.  


Currently, Dr. Tibbs works in private practice serving adults experiencing Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief, self-esteem, spirituality, and more. She utilizes Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to assist those on their healing journey as they examine their thoughts and feelings.
